This policy explains what personal information Thunderbot collects when you use this website or our MetaTrader 5 software, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It is written to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Who we are
Thundersoftware publishes a downloadable Expert Advisor for the MetaTrader 5 trading terminal. We are the data fiduciary for the information described in this policy.

2. What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the enquiry form on this site, you provide your name and WhatsApp number. You may optionally provide an email address, the name of your broker, your level of MetaTrader 5 experience, and any question you write. This information is sent to us through WhatsApp when you press send in that application.
Information the software sends
When the Expert Advisor validates a licence key, our licence server receives the licence key itself and a technical identifier for the installation. This is used only to confirm whether the licence is active.
Information collected automatically
Our web host records standard server logs, which include IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. This is ordinary web server operation and is not used to build a profile of you.

We process this information on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and to perform the agreement between us once you hold a licence.
4. What we never collect
We do not collect, request, store or have access to your broker login credentials, your trading account number, your account balance, your trading history, your positions, or any funds. The software runs entirely on your own terminal. We cannot see or act on your account.
We do not collect financial account information, government identification numbers, biometric data, or location data. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this website.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent needed:
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — enquiries you send us travel through WhatsApp and are governed by their privacy policy
- Our web host — stores this website and its server logs
- Our payment processor — handles the licence payment; we receive confirmation of payment, not your full card or wallet details
We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiry messages are retained for as long as we are in contact with you and for up to twenty-four months afterwards. Licence records are retained while your licence is active and for a further twenty-four months for support and accounting purposes. Server logs are retained for up to ninety days.
7. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Ask us to erase your information, subject to any legal retention we must observe
- Withdraw consent you have previously given
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you are unable to
- Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response

8. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Licence keys are stored as hashed values rather than in plain text. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to reply to you. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of what we hold.
9. Children
This software and website are not intended for anyone under eighteen. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to licence holders by email or WhatsApp.
